A few days late, but better now that never. The truth is I forgot about this blog. :)
Monday was rainy and lower temps and I think I was fighting the start of a cold. Whenever the weather is this way, or I feel not 100% I always want to go to Pho Duey.
For our appetizer, we had the pork roll. I like it best with peanut sauce, which was forgotten so I had it with their fish sauce. Pretty good.
I ordered a small Vietnamese Pho with raw steak and brisket. I usually just get the rare steak. I didn't spice it up as much as usual, but I was really loving the hoisen sauce.
And we can't go to Pho Duey without our Cappicino Boba. I didn't have very much, but Brian really enjoyed it.
Being there reminded me of being in Vietnam. Not the food, since the northern food we eat is very different, but just the peace I feel when I am there. I truly enjoyed listening the waitstaff have a heated discussion in Vietnamese. I only wish I knew what they were saying.
Vietnam has not been on my mind a lot lately, and being there reminded me and it felt very familiar. We are going back in November, can't wait!
